The Scissor Sisters are an American band To Hottest Celebrity

The Scissor Sisters are an American band that formed in 2001. Their style draws from disco, glam rock, pop and the club scene of New York City.
The group consists of vocalists Jake Shears and Ana Matronic, multi-instrumentalist Babydaddy, lead guitar/bassist, Del Marquis, and drummer Randy Real (who joined in replacement of Paddy Boom) and their name is taken from a sexual position between women called tribadism.While experiencing only limited mainstream success in their homeland of the United States, the band has been hugely successful in Europe, Canada, Australia, and particularly the United Kingdom, where they have achieved a number of chart hits, with their debut album becoming best-selling album of 2004 in the UK. Their single "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'" was the fourth best-selling single in the UK in 2006 and stayed in the UK top 40 for 27 weeks

The core of the band formed in 2000, when Shears met Babydaddy while visiting a friend in Kentucky. They began to play music together and were generally poorly received. After moving to New York City, the duo met Ana Matronic at a cabaret on Halloween, when she was dressed as an Andy Warhol factory reject, and Shears was dressed as a "late-term, back-alley abortion". The group soon began playing gigs, and they met Del Marquis while Shears was still working as a stripper at a tiny East Village bar called I.C. Guys.

To Watch & Read Rafael Nadal Playing Style on Your Home PC or laptop Today Hot News...

    *  Born: 3 June 1986
    * Birthplace: Manacor, Mallorca, Spain
    * Best Known As: The winner of four straight French Opens     (2005-08)

Name at birth: Rafael Nadal-Parera

Rafael Nadal was 19 years and two days old when he won the 2005 French Open in his very first appearance at the event. A left-hander with a booming forehand, Nadal had been known as a clay-court specialist since playing his first pro tournaments in 2001. His aggressive style, flowing hair and muscular build have made him a consistent favorite with female fans as well. He won his first singles title in 2004, and had a breakout season in 2005, winning at Monte Carlo, Rome, Barcelona and Stuttgart as well as at Roland Garros. He won the French Open again in 2006, 2007 and 2008, defeating Roger Federer in the final each time. In 2008 he broke through at Wimbledon, beating Federer to win the men's singles title there. No longer just a master of clay, he beat Federer at the hard-court Australian Open in 2009, confirming his #1 ranking in the world.

Though his full name is Rafael Nadal-Parera, he is generally known simply as Rafael Nadal... According to the ATP Tour site, his name is pronounced "ra-FAY-el nay-DAHL." The ATP also says he is nicknamed "Rafa"... Nadal beat Mariano Puerta in the 2005 French Open finals; he beat Federer in the semifinals that year... Mallorca is one of the Balearic Islands, which stand in the Mediterranean Ocean off the coast of Spain.

Playing style:

Nadal generally plays an aggressive behind-the-baseline game founded on heavy topspin groundstrokes, consistency, speedy footwork, and tenacious court coverage.[82]  Known for his athleticism and speed around the court, Nadal is a capable defender[83]  who hits well on the run, constructing winning plays from seemingly defensive positions. He is a counter-puncher. He also plays very fine dropshots, which work especially well because his heavy topspin often forces opponents to the back of the court.[84]  Nadal is primarily a baseliner and seldom volleys but when he does come to the net he is a capable volleyer.

Nadal employs a full western grip forehand, often with a "lasso-whip" follow through, where his left arm hits through the ball and finishes above his left shoulder—as opposed to a more traditional finish across the body or around his opposite shoulder.[85][86] Nadal's forehand groundstroke form allows him to hit shots with heavy topspin—more so than many of his contemporaries.[87] San Francisco tennis researcher John Yandell used a high-speed video camera and special software to count the average number of revolutions of a tennis ball hit full force by Nadal. "The first guys we did were Sampras and Agassi. They were hitting forehands that in general were spinning about 1,800 to 1,900 revolutions per minute. Federer is hitting with an amazing amount of spin, too, right? 2,700 revolutions per minute. Well, we measured one forehand Nadal hit at 4,900. His average was 3,200." [88] While Nadal's shots tend to land short of the baseline, the characteristically high bounces his forehands achieve tend to mitigate the advantage an opponent would normally gain from capitalizing on a short ball.[89] Although his forehand is based on heavy topspin he can hit the ball deep and flat with a more orthodox follow through for clean winners.

Nadal has developed his serve into a solid weapon since his earlier years as a pro.[82] Nadal is able to deliver a high percentage of first serves, struck with moderate pace and placed strategically.[82] Nadal's second serve usually employs a hard left-handed slice towards right-handed opponents' backhands. Nadal relies on the consistency of his serve to gain a strategic advantage in points, rather than going for service winners.[90]
Nadal's mental resilience and strategic approach to the game are other noted strengths. Nadal is able to avoid discouragement regardless of match score, allowing him to singularly focus on winning the current point and gaining an advantage. As a strategic player, Nadal can assess outside variables such as court surface, weather conditions, and his opponent's tactics in order to adjust his own play to best adapt to present conditions.[91]

Although once considered a clay court specialist, Nadal has shed that label due to his success on the tournaments played on other surfaces, including holding Grand Slams simultaneously on grass, hard courts, and clay, winning five Masters series titles on hardcourt, and winning the Olympic gold medal on hardcourt.[82][92][93] Despite praise for Nadal's talent and skill, some have questioned his longevity in the sport, citing his build and playing style as conducive to injury.[94] Nadal himself has admitted to the physical toll hard courts place on ATP Tour players, calling for a reevaluated tour schedule featuring fewer hard court tournaments

Watch & Read Sarah Ferguson's Story .....

 DUCHESS of York Sarah Ferguson has run up debts totaling millions of dollars — and they’re threatening to spiral out of control, according to a UK tabloid report.

The British royal — who was caught on video accepting money in exchange for a promise of business access to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, who is a British trade representative — allegedly sponges and haggles to try to keep up a royal lifestyle she can no longer afford.

She is said to owe her creditors as much as $7m.

“She’s so close to it all collapsing,” a source told the News of the World newspaper.

“If everyone she owed money suddenly asked for it back she’d be finished.

“Fergie’s no longer a royal but lives an extremely regal lifestyle. Yet behind the scenes it’s like Del Boy.
“Everything is on approval. Her staff are always cutting corners, trying to get a bit longer at a hotel for free, getting everything to be invoiced. It was embarrassing.

“Her staff are instructed so when if they are presented with a bill, they’d look offended and say: ‘Surely the Duchess isn’t expected to pay for this?’
“She was hemorrhaging money. One day she spent £4,000 on hair accessories.

“She’s so skint she’s using her daughters’ credit cards to stay afloat.

“It’s just c**p that she says she does so much for charity but relies on the kindness of people who are too scared or too nice to ask for payment.”
Recent reports claimed Sarah is keen to take part on us TV show Dancing With The Stars — just so she can earn some money.
“Sarah needs to earn money and it’s not as easy as you might think for a Duchess to get a job,” a source said.

Top Most Celebrity Natalie Merchant Biography

First rising to fame at the helm of the popular folk-rock band 10,000 Maniacs, Natalie Merchant subsequently enjoyed even greater success as a solo performer as her plaintive vocals and literate, socially conscious songs established her among the preeminent female performers in contemporary pop. Born October 26, 1963 in Jamestown, NY, Merchant joined 10,000 Maniacs at the age of 17, quickly becoming the band's driving artistic force; after a pair of successful independent releases, they signed to Elektra in 1985, and in the years to follow emerged among the most popular acts in alternative rock, shooting into the Top 40 with 1987's superb In My Tribe. However, around the time of recording 1992's Our Time in Eden, Merchant gave her bandmates two years notice, and after the release of 1994's MTV Unplugged publicly announced she was leaving their ranks. Her 1995 solo debut, Tigerlily, debuted just shy of the Top Ten, scoring a hit with the single "Carnival; " it was followed in 1998 by Ophelia. Live in Concert, recorded at New York's Neil Simon Theatre, appeared a year later. A prominent social activist, Merchant also regularly campaigned in the name of such hot-button issues as animal rights, domestic violence, and homelessness. In 2000 Merchant toured with her band and members of progressive folk group The Horseflies performing folk traditionals. She returned with the Motherland LP in 2001. Two years later Merchant left Elektra and formed the Myth America to issue House Carpenter's Daughter, a collection of traditional and contemporary folk music performed on the 2000 tour. 2004 saw Rhino release Campfire Songs, a 10,000 Maniacs retrospective, and a year later Merchant tallied her ten-year solo career with Retrospective. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide

Take a look at my body Look at my hands There's so much here that I don't understand Your face say these promises Whispered like prayers I don't need them Because I've been treated so wrong I've been treated so long As if I'm becoming untouchable Well content loves the silence It thrives in the dark With fine winding tendrils That strangle the heart They say that promises sweeten the blow But I don't need them, no I don't need them I've been treated so wrong I've been treated so long As if I'm becoming untouchable I'm the slow dying flower In the frost killing hour Sweet turning sour and untouchable Oh, I need the darkness The sweetness The sadness The weakness Oh, I need this I need a lullaby A kiss good night Angel sweet love of my life Oh, I need this I'm the slow dying flower In the frost killing hour Sweet turning sour and untouchable Do you remember the way that you touched me before All the trembling sweetness I loved and adored Your face saying promised whispered like prayers I don't need them Oh, I need the darkness The sweetness The sadness The weakness Oh, I need this I need a lullaby A kiss good night Angel sweet love of my life Oh, I need this Well is it dark enough Can you see me Do you want me Can you reach me Oh, I'm leaving You better shut your mouth And hold your breath And kiss me now And catch your death Oh, I mean this Oh, I mean this  (source: lyricsdepot(dot)com)
